Research

Since its founding in 1971, the IREDU (Institute for Research on Education) has worked on issues related to efficiency and equity in education. As a regional associate centre of the Céreq since the late 1970s, the team has also specialised in issues of integration and the relationship between training and employment. On the other hand, the laboratory’s methodologies, often linked to the economics and sociology of education, are characterised by a specialisation in quantitative methods in education, while more recently developing more qualitative methods.

Moreover, from 2017 to 2021, the IREDU project has certainly been in line with the work carried out previously within the laboratory, but it is resolutely oriented towards new research perspectives. Two axis structure this scientific project :
